About Brad & Hazel Eklund
We started Entwood Crafts in July of 2010 in Southport, NC. Our wood working began as a hobby making Christmas gifts for family members. Through the support and encouragement of friends and family, this time filling hobby became a small side business. Over time we joined more galleries and shops with most of our work being found in Wilmington, NC. We have seen our work evolve over the years in quality, creativity and have found ourselves spending more and more time creating new wooden wonders. Creating things from wood is an incredibly rewarding experience for us.
Most of the items we make are small in size or contains many small segments. This allows us to maximize the usefulness of every piece of wood we use resulting in very little waste. We donate what little waste is created to a local artist/potter, Dick Hieser, who uses the waste as fuel for his wood fired kiln. Everything that we make is made from about 70 different exotic and domestic wood species. No stains or dyes are used in our work.
